About Indranil
I am a professor of Aerospace and I am in love with what I do. I have found out that a clear understanding of Mathematics is a must when it comes to taking up research in your favorite subjects in the future. So from my interaction with more than hundreds of students daily ,for a period spanning more than 5 years, I have come to the conclusion that the problem lies in clearing the basics and fundamentals of mathematics first. What is the biggest problem students face in approaching mathematics?
Most of the text books and curriculum focus on these things:
1. Process/Methods.
2. Formulae.
but most of those concepts are not even used in our day to day life. Some of those complex processes are even hard to remember and makes even simple calculations extremely complex which causes the students to make more mistakes and hence, be fearful of the subject.
