About Charnpreet
I majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Chemistry and Business Administration. I have been tutoring students and giving lessons since high school. I have taught over 50+ students, all with varying backgrounds. I get to know my students and build lessons in ways they will understand the best. My students have gone from having C's and D's in classes to high B's and A's.

During undergrad, I had the privilege of working with students on probation, most of whom were 1st generation from working class immigrant families. Some were taking classes I had not yet taken, so I applied myself and learned each concept thoroughly before teaching. I mentored each student at least once a week, embedded study and organization tactics, and honed in on the nature of the student. The latter was crucial in understanding each student’s personality and background because it was important in shaping an environment conducive to learning and addressing difficulties not only in the world of academia, but also in social and workplace realms. I catered meeting agendas around the student, whether it be a visual learner who understands concepts via whiteboard drawings or one who needed daily reminders to keep up with classwork. For example, one of my mentees was failing her neuroscience class, one I had not taken. I worked tirelessly with her in the science lab, even when she felt like giving up, drawing various diagrams on the white board with different colored markers, ultimately resulting in her progress from Cs to As.
