About Margot
I have been tutoring both in France and in England since 2016, with middle school and high school students. My students have achieved better academic understanding and more importantly methods to gain confidence in their own abilities.
Coming from a French background, I have learnt English as a foreign language first and am now studying in a London university (UCL). I believe that my efforts to learn English will allow me to emphasize with students and share the various methods I have obtained myself while learning languages (Spanish, Russian).

When tutoring a student, each week I review the material given in class with them and adapt the lessons’ structure for them to understand the content. I assist them with their homework and help them develop revision strategies and skills so that they gain confidence in their knowledge and abilities in the long term.
When tutoring a student outside of a course context, I focus on what they want to improve and on the strengths they have or are developping. I try my best to make the lessons enjoyable by adapting the material I provide them with and the type of exercise I ask them to complete to what they appreciate doing and learning about. I have found that this increases the students' motivation to practice their skills and extand their knowledge, therefore improving their results quickly.

I met Margot this year as I was struggling with my English lit exam. Not only is she very resourceful and knowledgeable, but one can tell she really enjoys teaching as well and gives full support to her students. I remember calling her once at 2 am in the morning because I had lost my notes on a book we were analysing. She gladly sent me a copy of her notes and took 5 minutes to explain them to me. I would 100% recommend this young, yet prodigious teacher to anyone who would like to improve their English skills.
