About Marina
Hello there! I am a full-time Assistant Headteacher currently working at an independent school in London. I work with pupils from Nursery to Year 6 and specialise in English as well as examination preparation. I completed my PGCE and subsequent Masters in Education at the University of Cambridge. My undergraduate was in History at the University of Edinburgh and I am extremely confident working with children with a variety of needs and abilities and pride myself on engaging pupils creatively, so they feel confident and empowered to challenge themselves. My foundational philosophy is that: A child will not learn unless they feel supported and championed by their teacher. Due to this, I plan my tutoring around a pupil’s specific interests so pupils enjoy the sessions, feel supported and from this make rapid lasting progress. Marina uses her training from Cambridge University and her strong academic background to use current and research based pedagogical approaches in her tutoring. She is ADORED by her students. They keep asking if they can write her postcards! I couldn’t recommend a tutor more highly.
