About Saoirse
I am a first year student at the University of Cambridge, studying Psychological and Behavioural Sciences. I achieved A* grades in both Edexcel A level Psychology, and AQA A level Biology. I also achieved an A grade in Edexcel A level English Language and Literature. I am eager to help other students achieve their full potential in subjects that I am passionate about and that I understand well, offering them innovative and effective strategies to learn and revise. I am very passionate about psychology in particular, having received my school's Psychology Award and going on to study it in further education. I have a history of academic success, achieving all Grade 9's at GCSE, A* A* A at A-level, as well as an A* grade in my EPQ.

I am a new tutor, in my first year as an undergraduate studying Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at University of Cambridge. I am keen to share my effective style of learning and revising with current students to help them to achieve their potential in their exams! I can offer online tutor sessions with students for Psychology (A-level) Biology (Secondary level, GCSE or A-level) and English (Secondary and GCSE level.) In particular, I am able to offer tutoring for AQA A level Biology, and Edexcel A level Psychology (the curriculums differ for different exam boards.) I will use engaging teaching methods that are designed and tailored to individual students and their needs, by maximising active recall practices and use of exam-style practice questions to help students to apply their knowledge in exam-style contexts. I will emphasise to students the importance of actually understanding content in order to learn and effectively revise it, something that aided me (and continues to do so) in preparing for examinations, rather than utilising passive memorisation strategies.
