About Shyam
I am a University of Cambridge graduate in mathematics, and have been tutoring since 2022. I started by working with charities to deliver catch-up tuition after the COVID-19 pandemic, and now work with a broad range of students, increasing the confidence of struggling students, and pushing more able students to new heights.

Depending on the student, I take two approaches:
For more comfortable students, I will provide stretching problems before the session to attempt. These will from the basis of the lesson, allowing the student to consolidate and master the topic. This style mirrors an Oxbridge supervison/tutorial.
For students who are struggling a little more, we will begin each session by reviewing a concept. We then work through problems, which will get increasingly challenging to draw out any misunderstandings and correct them. We finish by reviewing the concept. This style adapts the format of an Oxbridge supervision/tutorial to suit a broader range of abilities.
I also offer support for admissions tests, including STEP, MAT, TMUA, PAT, and ESAT.
