About Shakira
I have spent over six years teaching students of all abilities and academic goals, both online and in person. I firmly believe that every student has the potential to exceed their academic objectives with the right guidance—teaching that is focused not only on deep understanding, but also on mastering the key criteria that examiners look for.

My students benefit from 1:1 tailored lesson plans that focus on specific areas of weakness. A formal test will be conducted after our initial induction lesson which will aim to highlight such areas, a detailed, collaborative plan of action will follow. Marking will take the form of written and verbal feedback which can be further explained elaborated upon in lesson and students can opt for homework tasks which will be marked in the same way. My lessons have a stringent focus on exam technique which my students have greatly benefited from – skyrocketing grades and overall performance.
I have taught GCSE students for over four years and A Level students for two years both online and in person. I have experience tutoring Oxbridge entrance admissions exams for English. I achieved 9,9 in GCSE English Literature and Language, an A* in English literature A Level, and a first class in Part IB of English BA.
I teach AQA, OCR and Edexcel GCSE English and the same for A Level with the addition of Eduqas.
My lessons are typically 1.5hrs but this is flexible.
Students at any level, with any skill set, are warmly welcomed.
