About Elma
Hi, I'm Elma, a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Birmingham with a passion for maths, science and helping others learn. I achieved an A in A-level Mathematics and strong grades in Biology and Chemistry, giving me a solid foundation in the subjects I teach.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where questions are always encouraged. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence and make learning enjoyable.

I offer friendly, patient and personalised lessons for GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry. As a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Birmingham with an A in A-level Maths, I understand the challenges students face and explain topics in a clear, easy-to-understand way.
Every lesson is tailored to the student's needs, whether they want to improve confidence, catch up on difficult topics or prepare for exams. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and include explanations, worked examples, practice questions and exam techniques. I encourage students to ask questions and develop problem-solving skills so they gain confidence as well as knowledge.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE students of all abilities, and I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Through my university studies and customer-facing work, I have developed strong communication, organisation and time-management skills that help me deliver engaging and effective lessons.
