About Tommy
I'm a biology graduate with hands-on research experience, including a science internship with NASA, and a strong record in the sciences that I now bring to my tutoring. I've spent years mastering the material I teach, Biology, general and organic chemistry, and DAT preparation, and I genuinely enjoy helping students understand it rather than just memorize it. I'm patient, organized, and reliable: I show up prepared, tailor each session to where you actually are, and care about you walking away more confident than when we started. I'm a biology graduate with hands-on research experience, including science internships with NASA, and I teach with genuine command of the material rather than staying one chapter ahead of my students!!
For biology and chemistry, general and organic, I focus on understanding over memorization, breaking dense topics into the core concepts they're testing and locking them in with targeted practice. These lessons suit high school and college students looking to raise a grade or finally make a tough subject click.
I also offer full DAT prep for pre-dental students. I recently scored in the 95th percentile overall and the 97th in the sciences after a year of structured study, so I know exactly which topics carry the most weight, where students lose points, and how to manage timing on the sections that trip people up!!
