About Jamie
I am aspiring to work in the arts, specifically performing and directing but I am passionate about maths, psychology amongst other things. I would like to help young people (up to year 10s) who are struggling with their maths as I know how daunting it can be at a young age as I struggled with certain other subjects and I know I would have really benefited from this kind of help. I tutored maths during my post-16 education at sixthform as it was offered to me at A-Level, I thoroughly enjoyed this and found it to be really succesful for both-parties. I also mentored younger years along side this, but both intertwined and I was able to help younger people with their studies as well with advice and worries. I wish to provide a safe space where you are ensured to be provided with patience and my determination to aid you in your studies.

I will try to focus more on topics which the individual finds more challenging, go through some practice questions, let you have a go to see how you do and then go through some examples together I can help you with where you have gone wrong and how you can improve and then let you go through examples with me independently without my interruption and see how you develop. I would also set some extra work between sessions for you to do in your own time that I can mark in my own time and give feedback on. I would also be available over email for any other problems or questions when needed. I am here to support you giving you the knowledge and confidence to do well.
