About Abdelrhman
Hello! My name is Abdelrhman Mohamed, and I am a 17-year-old medical student at the University of Aberdeen with a strong passion for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
I achieved an A in Higher Mathematics (93%), an A in Higher Physics (78%), and an A in Higher Chemistry (80%). I also continued my studies in S6 through Advanced Higher Mathematics and Advanced Higher Physics. Having completed these qualifications recently, I understand the challenges students face and the areas where many struggle.
My passion for tutoring comes from my love of these subjects and my desire to help others see them differently. For me, Mathematics and Science are much more than formulas and equations—they are ways of understanding how the world works. I enjoy exploring the logic behind concepts and helping students develop the same confidence and curiosity that helped me succeed.
I have experience helping younger students, including supporting my younger sister with her studies, and I have also volunteered teaching children Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and adapting explanations to suit different learners.
Whether you are preparing for National 5s or Highers, my goal is to help you improve your understanding, build confidence, and achieve your academic goals.

My approach to tutoring is based on understanding rather than memorisation.
One of the biggest problems I faced as a student was being taught how to answer questions without fully understanding why the method worked. Once I started focusing on the underlying ideas and logic behind each topic, difficult concepts became much easier to understand and remember. This is the approach I now use when helping others.
I am a patient, friendly, and encouraging tutor who believes every student can succeed when concepts are explained clearly. If a student does not understand something, I will break it down into simpler ideas, use real-life examples, and explain it from a different perspective until it clicks.
Rather than simply teaching students how to pass an exam, I aim to help them genuinely understand the subject. When students understand the reasoning behind a formula or method, they become more confident, make fewer mistakes, and can tackle even the most challenging questions independently.
As someone who has recently completed National 5s and Highers myself, I understand exactly what students are going through. I know which topics are often confusing and how to explain them in a way that is straightforward and relatable.
My goal is for every student to leave a lesson feeling more confident than when they arrived. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student finally understand a topic they once found difficult and realise that they are capable of succeeding.
