About Mina
Hi! I am an ongoing undergraduate at University of Cambridge, studying maths.
I am from South Korea, and I have studied IGCSE and International A levels in my home country. Here is a brief summary of what I've done:
-I got the highest national marks in Maths, Econ, Biology in IGCSE
-highest mark (world) in Maths, (national) in Econ and Further maths, with A*A*A*A*A* (the other 2 A* being physics and chem)
-TMUA 8.4 and STEP S,1
-BMO1 distinction, BMO2 merit, sat AIME twice
I needed to prepare almost all of the exams by myself, solving free past papers online and making my own notes for this and that. I worked hard to find the most effective/efficient ways/resources to prepare for each of the exams, and I still remember them clearly. So, in addition to helping students build a strong foundation in maths, I am confident at equipping them with nice exam techniques and boosting their scores in the real exam!

I have been tutoring students online for about one year now. I enjoy meeting new students, making them understand new concepts (that Aha moment!), and I make sure to take care of my students thoroughly even outside the classes, by 24/7 Q&A and homework after each session.
For students that are relatively younger, I tend to focus on building solid foundation in maths, ensuring that they understand everything in a correct way. I also teach them an effective way to approach learning maths, making it more interesting and appealing. I believe that, with a good foundational knowledge along with a degree of motivation, you can never fail maths.
For students with exams approaching, I try to tailor my teaching approach to each student so that they can get the best result possible. This means that for some, I could focus on past papers, delivering exam techniques that would help them progress immediately, while for others, I may teach them the underlying reasons behind each theorem or problem solving strategies. Most of the times, it is a mixture of both types, as most of the students find it more helpful and interesting that way.
However, I can be flexible, and as I get to know the students better, I will adjust the way of teaching for each of them so that they can get the best results.
I teach (I)GCSE, (I)A-level maths and further maths, along with TMUA and STEP and other olympiads such as SMC, BMO and AMC. I have taken AP exams before, and I am happy to teach AP Calculus and precalculus as well.
