About George
I am an undergraduate at Durham University studying History having achieved 3 A*’s in History, Philosophy and Geography alongside 1 A in Maths. At GCSE I achieved 8 Grade 9’s and 2 Grade 8’s.
I am still only young myself which I believe makes it easier for me to relate to children and place myself in their shoes in order to work out how best to teach/explain things. Furthermore, it was not long ago that I did my GCSE’s and A Levels which means I know first hand different strategies, tips and tricks in order to succeed in exams which makes my lessons focussed on achieving good grades.

My lessons are engaging and interactive due to my firm belief that the key to learning is often about cultivating the right environment whereby students can feel confident enough to make mistakes and ask questions. Whilst that is said, all lessons have a pragmatic approach in that they aim to achieve certain goals efficiently and effectively whether it be GCSE’s or end of year exams. In most cases, some additional work will be set outside of the lesson to ensure that the knowledge learnt is then consolidated and not simply forgotten.
