About Yasmine
Still being a student myself I know the evolution of growth and how challenging it can be to lean into it. However I am here to help. I have had a wide variety in academic and personal writing experiences. Additionally through teaching many different age groups of students and through my own studies I have learned different approaches to more efficient reading. In our lessons I will help cultivate an open and engaging environment. Being able to effectively put my thoughts into words in a way that is meaningful to others has brought me so much confidence. I hope to help all students gain that ability.

English can sometimes feel like a monotonous task. However, it remains the cornerstone of effective communication and expression. As your tutor, I would love to help you navigate not only grasping the material but also becoming passionate about it. My lessons in writing would aim to strengthen foundational elements while expanding on strong argumentation, sentence structure, grammar, research skills, and writing styles. For lessons in reading, I focus on helping students gain greater understanding of literary concepts, text dissection, and fluency. These core elements will support overall greater reading comprehension. I additionally like to engage students in discussion of text to develop critical thinking and communication of thoughts. Overall I hope to support all students in a way tailored to their academic and worldly interests.
