My name is Andrew. I really enjoy working with students and watching them improve and become more confident in areas they once struggled with. I completed my A-level's in 2023 in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Product design. And have since been at university.

I am a cheerful and friendly undergraduate engineering student at Durham university, I am currently entering into my second year of my course and really enjoy teaching others and watching my students improve.
My teaching methodology focuses on going through specific areas of the course specification, initially by going through the basic theory needed to do a question, followed by me going through practice questions showing exactly what is needed to achieve full marks, before giving the student the opportunity to apply what they have learnt and try it for themselves. Looking at their answers myself, will help me to establish if they are ready to move on with this area or need extra help. The benefit of working directly from the specification for a course it that everything that could feasibly be asked about in an exam would be covered, meaning my students gain confidence and feel ready for exams.
I have previously volunteered in my sixth form, helping students with maths at GCSE level, I did this for two years on a weekly basis. I will always be available to teach online, but in person availability depends on term times.
