About Isaac
Hello! My name is Isaac, and I’ve been helping students excel in standardized tests since 2017. I graduated from UCSD with a Mechanical Engineering degree and have scored perfect on both the SAT and ACT multiple times. I also spent two years as a campus tutor, refining an approach that emphasizes efficient results while respecting students’ busy schedules.

HOW I HELP:
I begin with a free diagnostic exam to pinpoint each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. From there, I create a structured plan focusing on strategic thinking and problem-solving rather than memorizing content. My goal is to show that the SAT or ACT isn’t simply testing broad knowledge—it’s about recognizing patterns, managing time, and working with the exam’s format. Instead of tackling every math or grammar concept at length, I teach students to apply what they already know more effectively.
WHAT MAKES MY APPROACH DIFFERENT:
A) Problem-Solving Mindset: I help students grasp core principles behind questions so they can adapt to unfamiliar problems. This reduces the need for exhaustive studying and fosters confidence.
B) Learning from Mistakes: Every error is a chance to improve. We break down why it happened and develop strategies to avoid repeating it, building self-awareness and practical skills.
C) Exam-Specific Strategy: The SAT and ACT reward efficiency more than brute-force knowledge. By analyzing how questions are structured and worded, we uncover shortcuts that save time and lower stress, allowing students to focus on what truly boosts their scores.
RESULTS:
Students who adopt this problem-solving and adaptability-based approach often see significant gains in both speed and accuracy. More importantly, these skills transfer beyond test day, preparing them for the unstructured challenges of college and beyond. If you’re looking for an approach that nurtures efficiency, adaptability, and tangible results, I’d be glad to work with your student!
