About Joey
I am a second year chemistry student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and specialize in life sciences and mathematics. I also write in my free time, especially enjoying scientific essays.
My future goal is to become a flavor chemist or possibly a science professor in nearly any field. Teaching students has always been a lot of fun for me, and I am most experienced with junior high to high school students

I typically encourage my students to learn how to teach themselves, focusing on study strategies and test-taking tips. Additionally, my teaching methods are very direct: asking the student to go as far as they can on their own before asking for help, where I fill in the blanks and teach them how to get those missing steps in problem-solving. I am not a cheater; I will teach your student to grow their own skills so not to rely on me in the future
