About Jessica
Every student I work with keeps full ownership of their work. I coach argument, structure, and clarity. I don't write your thesis or dissertation for you, and I hold to academic integrity standards without exception. That includes helping students who drafted with AI take honest, defensible ownership of what ends up under their name.
I start with a free 20-minute consultation so we can make sure I'm the right fit before you commit to anything. I respond to messages within a day, turn around written chapter feedback in 5 to 7 business days, and I'm direct about what I can help with and what I can't.
My background is in high-stakes government and global nonprofit communication, and I now teach at UCLA Extension. Graduate students have trusted me with deadline-critical work for ten years, and I treat every deadline as the real constraint it is.

By the time a graduate student reaches out, the draft has usually turned on them. The research is finished. The argument exists. But it has gone murky on the page, and they can no longer see their own thinking clearly. Untangling that is the work I do best.
A typical session starts with whatever is blocking you right now: a chapter that won't hold together, a line of reasoning that drifts halfway through, a conclusion the evidence doesn't quite support. We work on the real text in front of us, not general advice. I read it closely, ask where you mean to take the argument, and show you where the structure is working against you. You leave knowing your next move, with annotated notes to carry the work forward on your own.
What sets me apart is that I'm not a copy editor. I coach argument and structure. I've spent ten years guiding graduate students through capstone and dissertation projects, and before that I wrote for the heads of UNICEF and the CDC, where an unclear argument was never acceptable.
I work with master's and doctoral candidates across disciplines, including international students writing in academic English and those who drafted with AI and need to take genuine ownership of the result. I won't write it for you. I help you make your own case land.

- Dissertation Unstuck Session — 75 minutes, $150
- One blocked chapter, stuck argument, or structural problem, fully addressed. You leave with a clear path forward and annotated notes.
Defense-Ready Package — two sessions, $275
- Argument tightening in the first session, full defense rehearsal and Q&A prep in the second. Built for students with a defense on the calendar.
Chapter Review — $125 per chapter, up to 30 pages
-Written feedback on argument, structure, and clarity, returned within 5 to 7 business days. No session required.
