About Yasmin
Hello! I am Yasmin. I am a UCLA Alumna and have been working as a tutor for over 6 years. I have taught many subjects such as history, math, poetry, science, and literature. I have also assisted AVID students in applying to college.
I love learning and bring this enthusiasm into the classroom and lessons. My years of training allows me to create and teach engaging lesson plans. I also coach high school sports and know how to work with athletes.

I like to engage students at the beginning of class by asking them to participate in an icebreaker. I also always ask if they have questions from our previous lesson.
I hae been trained by my last emplyer to create detailed lesson plans. I use interactive videos and quizzes to engage students. I constantly ask questions to ensure focus during class.
I set learning goals for each class and make these goals clear to the students.
I have been a tutor for many years. As a former student, I understand how hard it can be to learn new skills and information. My UCLA degree and work experience makes me qualified to help out students of all ages.
