About Jinit
I am a current medical student at UCL, having previously received offers from top UK medical schools including Manchester and King’s College London. I achieved straight 9s at GCSE and was an ex-full academic scholar at one of the country’s leading private colleges, where I was awarded a 100% scholarship for my academic excellence. Beyond my academic pursuits, I have a genuine passion for mentoring and supporting others in their learning journeys. Over the years, I have mentored a wide range of students, from younger pupils at GCSE level to older students preparing for A-Levels, helping them develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning. One of the highlights of my mentoring experience was teaching integration to a Year 4 student, where I found immense joy in breaking down complex concepts into engaging, understandable lessons. Mentoring has not only allowed me to share my knowledge but has also taught me patience, adaptability, and the reward of seeing others succeed. I am also committed to volunteering and gaining real-world experience. I have shadowed in hospitals, including geriatric and oncology wards, and participated in fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support. These experiences have given me a deeper appreciation of empathy, communication, and teamwork in healthcare. Outside of academics and mentoring, I enjoy cricket, golf, and running. I value balancing my studies with physical activity, which helps me maintain focus and energy. Overall, I am passionate about medicine, education, and making a positive impact on those around me, whether through mentoring, volunteering, or simply sharing knowledge and experiences.

My teaching focuses on building a deep understanding of concepts, developing problem-solving skills, and improving exam technique. I use a combination of interactive explanations, worked examples, targeted practice questions, and regular feedback to help students consolidate their learning and gain confidence. Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes and are tailored to each student’s pace and needs. I structure sessions to include clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and strategies for tackling exam-style questions. I also provide guidance on revision techniques, study planning, and how to approach challenging topics effectively. With experience mentoring and supporting students across multiple subjects, I aim to make learning engaging, structured, and rewarding. My lessons are designed for GCSE-level students who want to strengthen their understanding, achieve higher grades, and develop a genuine enjoyment of learning.
