About Yathukulan
I have a unique and somewhat strange set of skills. I have an undergraduate degree from Oxford in Chemistry (this involved doing a great deal of maths!), and in later years I transitioned to Anthropology. I'm now a lecturer in Anthropology at UCL - a university that is ranked 4th in the world for my subject, and 9th in the world overall. However, I still like to teach Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry in my spare time (I have A-levels in these subjects) as I still enjoy these subjects greatly!
I'm only looking to mentor a few students this year . I may not be the best tutor for you or your child if you are looking for an 'intense' approach that involves cramming a lot of information for exams only. There are honestly ridiculously well qualified people on here to help you with that. BUT if you or your children would like to enjoy learning, think critically, and to learn skills that would set them up for university - then I may be the right tutor for you!
I'm happy to have an initial chat online to see if our approaches would be compatible for one another!

I can offer to teach students Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, and can help students plan and write essays. I can work with students from the age of 11 - 18+
I take a student centred approach to teaching, and I work with the students to find out what it is they do not understand. I work with them to think through obstacles in their way that might prevent them from doing the best they possibly can. And I try to make the learning process as enjoyable as I can!
