About Sanand
I’m currently studying Economics at UCL and achieved 3 A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Economics at A Level. Over the past 3 years, I’ve tutored GCSE and 11+ students and really enjoyed seeing their confidence grow over time. I know Maths can feel intimidating, so I focus on explaining things clearly, breaking problems down, and creating a relaxed space where students feel comfortable asking questions. Having also worked with SEN (Special Educational Needs) students, it has allowed me to adapt my teaching methods and broaden my understanding on how there are many different thought processes that can lead to correct answers. I’m passionate about helping students improve, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing something finally “click” and watching them achieve the results they’re aiming for.

My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building strong foundations, clear problem-solving methods, and exam technique. I like to first ask the student what they need, what they want to achieve, and what level they are currently at and accordingly plan lessons beforehand to ensure that I have any content and practice questions ready to go through in the session as well as taking any specific topic requests or question requests from my students prior to the session allowing them to clear any doubts they might have had. I also encourage my students to feel free to reach out to me outside of their lesson time to ask any questions they may have so I can prepare written solutions for them and answer any questions as soon as possible and if there are any further issues with understanding the question then these gaps in knowledge can be covered together as I like to encourage all my students to give it their best effort to ensure they are reaching their full learning potential. Lessons are typically 60 minutes online, ideal for 11+, GCSE, A Level and Further Maths students aiming to improve confidence and achieve top grades.
