About Mickey
I am an international student in Dublin. I am originally Dutch and have lived in Switzerland throughout my secondary school. I graduated secondary school in May 2023 with an IB diploma of 42 points with HL Physics, Math and Chemistry. For the past 3 years, I have worked with secondary school students as a netball coach, mentor and tutor. I believe learning is most effective when it is fun, interactive and personalised to the student's unique way of thinking.

I have 3 years of previous experience tutoring secondary school student. I believe working together with a student is the most important tool in teaching them. Every person is different and thinks and learns differently, therefore it is crucial to have a personalised approach to learning. In revisions I use a lot of active recall and spaced repetition. While during teaching, I prefer a range of methods, ranging from visual diagrams to analogies to question-based approachs, it all depends on the student and the topic. I also believe that doing is the best way of learning, therefore I will usually go through exercises together with the student rather than simply explaining or doing it for them.
