About Sofia
Hi! I am a 19 year old student in my second year of university. I am studying Medicine at UCD and am really enjoying it! I did the Leaving Cert in 2024 and always had a passion for science.
I received seven H1s while studying for the HPAT during my Leaving Cert year - I was an entrance scholar at UCD for receiving 625 points. Tutoring is something I really enjoy!
In TY, I did work experience in a primary school and discovered a love for teaching. I have given private lessons and tutoring for my friends and their siblings. I believe education should be accessible for all, and I am willing to help out anyone who is struggling or wants a head start in their academics :)

I believe in personalised tutoring and I am willing to adjust depending on your needs!
• I specialise in using a digital software to write out notes and draw diagrams while sharing my laptop screen (during online lessons)
• Can teach topics from scratch, or can aid in answering sample questions that you may want help with - whatever suits your needs!
• I can give occasional tests and homework if you are looking to test your knowledge after certain lessons
• Will adjust the length of a lesson depending on what you are looking for - in general, I work at 1.5 - 2 hour intervals but this can be adjusted

I’m the type of student who would rather stay silent and not ask questions to not appear stupid in front of others even though I’m in desperate need for help but never have I ever been scared to ask and reach out for help from Sofia even if it’s the smallest thing ever because her positive and welcoming personality. She explained anything I needed help with, multiple times if needed. Something unique about Sofia is her style of teaching and her notes, I found them very helpful due to them being simple and understandable and every step was clearly labeled. If I were to go back in time and have to get a tutor throughout secondary school Sofia would most definitely be my first option and she should be yours too!!
Ps. She taught me chemistryShe provided me with excellent tip n tricks to solve my math problems n explains them to me so well ,I know her as she helped me alot in the lc as we were classmates
