About Justin
I am currently doing my PhD in Inorganic Chemistry at UBC in Vancouver. In my classes, I look to understand the experiences of my students as well as their goals and to relate the concepts to their own lived experiences while working with them toward their goals. In my classes I typically use a combination of simple visualizations and analogies to explain concepts!

My teaching style ensures that my students understand concepts and problems that they encounter fully, allowing them to build from the basics toward increasing complexity, enabling them to handle and understand multi-faceted concepts and problems. In my approach with students, I first gauge their method of understanding as well as their depth of understanding, then work with them based on their preferences as well as their strengths and methods of understanding. Through visualisations and analogies that allow them to relate concepts to their daily lives, I seek to make classes memorable and impactful for my students. I am also happy to discuss what my students' requirements are and work from there. I am able to teach high school math as well as high school to college level chemistry
