About Adrienne
I have been tutoring math for 35 years. I like to make math easy. Learning should be fun. I like to know what my students are interested in so I can gear my lessons around their interests. I ask a lot of questions
and try to raise the student’s self-esteem. Low self-esteem can be a big factor in why students don’t succeed. I want to teach them to believe they can achieve.

When teaching arithmetic, I use various techniques depending on what the child’s problem is. For example, if a student is having difficulty lining up numbers, I may do something like use different colors so that the student knows where to put the numbers. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities. However, that doesn’t mean you have to be learning disabled for me to tutor you. No question is a dumb question and student participation is GREATLY encouraged!
