About Brian
I am a published author and researcher of books about ancient cultures, who has been fascinated by the ancient world for longer than I can remember. I have been tutoring Classical Civilisation for nine years, and find the subject fascinating and rewarding to teach.

I know from my own experience at school that students want to study those subjects which have inspirational teachers. Enthusiasm for a subject is vital and students who enjoy their subject will always perform far better than those who do not.
Related to this, I focus on building on that interest and developing confidence in their knowledge of the course material. I try to make the subject more manageable for my students by focusing on one thing at a time. I monitor my tutees' performance very closely but make sure that in our lessons they feel comfortable and are able to apply themselves fully to the topic at hand.
