About Sophia
I am a student with 1 year of experience in tutoring GCSE biology, chemistry and physics where my students' grades severely increased as she began to understand the concepts from my explanations and more importantly, exam technique.
I also study a levels in biology, chemistry and maths.
I currently volunteer to be a mentor to students in younger years at my school where I help with GCSE maths or with any questions across different subjects.
I completed my GCSEs in 2018 and achieved all my grades at 7-9 (A-A*) so I am perfectly qualified in knowing what to do to be successful and how I can help you to achieve them at an affordable price.

My teaching method is to ensure the students know everything on the specification and then ask exam question based on this. I also focus on the mark schemes and key words, especially for biology which is where most marks are lost in exams.
It is important to understand the learning style of the student themselves and adapt how I teach to suit them.
To understand your learning style, the first lesson will be spent getting to know each other and finding what method best helps you to retain information, making our future lessons productive and enjoyable!
