About Briana
I am a recent matriculant and am currently studying medicine at university. Through high school and the past year I have spent a lot of time tutoring others in various subjects very successfully. I understand the difficulties that can come with any subject and I want to help you overcome these difficulties by tailoring our lessons to your needs. I can explain subjects in depth, and give you opportunities to practice and prepare for tests. I can also assist in improving your answering techniques and in writing essays or speeches. I want to help make your difficult classes a lot easier and help you achieve your academic goals

I vary my style of tutoring according to the child I am working with. I understand that the reason for needing tutoring may have to do with not understanding in class or desiring extension from what has been covered, because of this I aim to meet the child where they are. A typical lesson may be covering a concept in more detail, using materials from their class or materials I provide, or working through a test paper they have. I also provide other tests that they can use to practice. In my lessons, I aim to provide an opportunity to engage with the content and with the teacher that may be lost in a big class and encourage them to understand through guided activities rather than simply repeating the concept to them. I work with a wide range of age groups and can work with second-language English speakers. For younger ages, I can teach all subjects, while for high-school learners I focus on the core subjects and History, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
