About Mirrium
Hello! My name is Crystle, and I am passionate about helping students learn in a way that feels encouraging, engaging, and easy to understand. I want to teach Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, and English for students studying at IGCSE level and below.
I understand that subjects like Maths and Add Maths can sometimes feel intimidating, so my goal is to make lessons less stressful and more approachable by explaining concepts step-by-step and helping students build confidence in their problem-solving skills. For English, I aim to help students improve their grammar, writing, comprehension, and communication skills while creating a comfortable environment where they feel confident expressing themselves.

My approach to tutoring is focused on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style according to each student’s pace, strengths, and areas that need improvement.
For Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, I break down difficult concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations and focus heavily on understanding the logic behind formulas rather than just memorizing methods. I use practice questions, past papers, and real exam-style techniques to strengthen problem-solving skills and improve exam performance. For English, I focus on improving grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, essay writing, and critical thinking while also helping students develop confidence in speaking and expressing their ideas clearly.
My lessons are interactive and structured. I usually begin with a quick review of previous topics, teach new concepts with guided examples, and then allow students to practice independently while I provide support and feedback. I also like to encourage students to think through problems on their own first, as this helps build independence and deeper understanding.
A typical lesson lasts for about 1 hour as I believe 1 hour is the maximum amount of time you should spend learning a subject at once and lessons can be tailored for homework support, syllabus mastery, exam preparation, or intensive revision before tests and examinations.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, which has strengthened my analytical thinking, mathematical skills, and ability to explain technical concepts clearly. I have experience helping friends, family members, and peers with academic subjects, particularly Mathematics and English, and I am passionate about helping students improve both their grades and confidence in learning.
My lessons are suitable for primary school students and secondary school students studying IGCSE level and below, including students who may need extra support, exam preparation, or enrichment beyond the classroom syllabus.
