About Kylie
My piano teaching approach is centered on discovery, self-expression, and the exploration of sound. I encourage students to connect with music in ways that feel personal and meaningful. Guided improvisation, call-and-response games, and storytelling through music are tools I use to spark creativity and engagement.
We also explore layered sound textures, helping students create rich, immersive musical landscapes. Alongside creativity, I focus on essential techniques such as pedal control, tone balance, and dynamic shaping. These skills empower learners to translate ideas into expressive, polished performances.
I support students who thrive on curiosity, emotional depth, and technical growth. Lessons are tailored to balance freedom with structure, fostering confidence while building strong musical foundations. With over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (Piano), I bring energy and passion to every lesson. I specialize in group instruction, guiding students through duets, ensembles, and band-style keyboard roles. These lessons go beyond solo practice, emphasizing collaboration, rhythmic groove, and building performance confidence.
I focus on creating a supportive environment where students learn to listen, sync, and shine together. Whether exploring jazz, pop, or classical pieces, students gain both technical skills and expressive musicality. Many of my students have proudly performed at school talent shows and community events, thrilling audiences with their ensemble work.
My teaching blends technique, creativity, and teamwork, helping students grow as confident musicians. Each session is engaging, interactive, and tailored to the group’s dynamics. I love seeing students connect through music and experience the joy of performing together.
