About Liz
I love languages and learning. I grew up in Bavaria and found my home in Melbourne. Language means freedom, expression, independence, conversation, self-reliance and connection for me. Language shapes how we perceive the world and how we think and act in it. I was always fascinated by these complex structures of living languages. Therefore, I love helping students expand and refine their language knowledge in German. I have an extensive background in coaching and EFT, so I incorporate that into my language classes so learning feels less like studying and more like having fun.

Lessons with me won't feel like lessons. Together we will improve your German with unique techniques that include innovative approaches and lots of fun. I will make every lesson relevant for you whether you are a beginner learning German to travel or you are studying for a VCE exam, or you want to improve your skills to land your dream job with a German company. I have helped many students to reach their goals over the last 20 years. And I continuously study to improve my teaching approaches based on the newest science.

Perfect! Liz is absolutely brilliant. She has a keen knowledge of not just the German language itself, but also the science of language acquisition. Her friendly demeanour, encouraging attitude, and wealth of experience underpin her approach to tutoring. Ultimately, I have been able to optimise my learning and make the most of each session and my own revision/study time. We worked together to formalise personalised goals - and we actively work toward them. This has made a rather daunting task (learning a whole new language) very fun, positive and fruitful. Perfect! Liz tutored my daughter during my daughters VCE year and was a terrific teacher and support. Liz taught in a professional manner that greatly assisted my daughter learn and understand the language ,in particular with german grammer which she had previously found quite difficult. Not only was Liz a good teacher she was patient and made the lessons enjoyable and fun!

I took German lessons with Liz for 6 weeks before moving to Germany. Liz is calm, patient and very helpful. She sent me lots of resources to assist me and was very responsive. I feel much more confident with my German now. Danke, Liz!
Liz is a great teacher. She balances an engaging and fun delivery of the work with an eye for detail and a tailored teaching style that appreciates what the individual student needs to take your language aspirations forward. I could don’t recommend her more highly.
