About Joe
I'm an experienced teacher with a BA in International Development. I studied at the University of North Texas, where I was heavily involved in Model UN and peer tutoring. Since graduating I've worked as a teacher, translator, and content writer in Chile and Brazil, as well as at home in Houston.

I believe that learning should be fun. As such, my methodology focuses heavily on student engagement. I aim to create lessons that cement language though lived experiences, supplementing these activities with grammar for a balanced and fun approach. Further, I incorporate each student's goals, motivations, and interests into their coursework, using games wherever possible and appropriate.
