About Joshua
I have been a teacher in illustration at Weber State University since 2017. I specialize in helping students create a marketable style which can help them land freelance jobs in illustration. I have professionally illustrated board Games, picture books, and comics.

This course will focus on the development of individual approaches to present problems in the illustration industry. Emphasis will be placed on visual communication and cultivating a stronger illustration style with the goal of creating a cohesive portfolio. In this class students will learn to develop professional techniques through hands-on application and creative exercises. Topics will include how to set up a dynamic composition, character design, and learning how to create a marketable style that can garner attention and find clients.
