About Johan
I've been a guitar and bass player for roughly thirteen years! I have six years of teaching experience as a private teacher and have been teaching people from ages 13-50+ and at any skill level.
Every student under my tutelage has been able to improve their playing, all while learning a plethora of songs both famous and obscure.

My approach is to teach you the music first. I pick songs that showcase the techniques and concepts I want to teach and we focus on simply learning that song. Once that's done, we go over the concepts, why they work, and how to apply them independently of the song!
For instance, we might learn how to play Back in Black by AC/DC, as well as some phrases from the first guitar solo. If that's your first time learning the E minor pentatonic scale, we'll practice the phrases, but then also take some time to improvise with the E minor pentatonic scale over a jam track.
My teaching method is all about learning songs to learn theory, not learning theory to learn songs.
