About Rana
I am a first-year student of life sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Chemistry has been my favourite subject throughout high school. I have participated in several chemistry contests, such as the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (achieved the silver medal) and Avogadro Chemistry Contest (ranked the first place), to reinforce my love for chemistry. Since I am a native speaker of Farsi, as well as being fluent in English, I would be able to help you with chemistry in both Farsi and English.

My methodology usually includes assessing the students’ strengths, weaknesses, and needs using a general assessment, explaining theories and principals of chemistry, and solving problems to consolidate the students’ knowledge of chemistry. However, I try to be flexible with my teaching methodology to be able to better cater to the needs of every student.

At this time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I only offer online lessons in order to ensure the safety of the students, as well as myself. However, I would be able to offer in-person classes, once it is safe to do so.
