About Gianmarco
I am in my final years of my Masters degree in Civil engineering as well as having completed 11 GCSEs at St Columba's and 3 A Levels at Bexley Grammar School. This will be my first time tutoring professionally however I have plenty of experience teaching children between the ages of 11-17 as I was a Sergeant in the RAF Air Cadets. As a Sergeant, one of my roles was teaching the RAF curriculum to the cadets therefore I am very familiar with providing engaging and well prepared lessons. I have further experience tutoring my younger cousin; mainly in GCSE level Mathematics.

The most important part of being a tutor is planning a constructive and engaging lesson which I did a lot of during my time teaching the cadets. Although it is very important to cover the theory, it is also very important to keep the student engaged with the topic therefore I strongly believe that lots of practise doing questions (guided and alone) is vital. The last thing you want is to have a boring lesson!
Good communication with the student is key in order to understand the areas the need the most help with in order to make the best use of the lesson time.
