About Cathal
I have always had a passion for language learning and linguistics, with a particular interest in grammar and the sounds of language. In school I competed in and was the junior champion of the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad, and I am now a student of German and Linguistics in Trinity College Dublin.
I have two years of experience giving German grinds with positive results, thanks to a student-led approach to teaching that helps strengthen the most problematic areas as well as solidifying the stronger ones.

My grinds are very flexible to the needs of the learner, whether that be focussing on questions from past papers, offering extra support in studying and understanding grammar in depth, or improving oral work, with a particular emphasis on improving accent.
I usually offer hour-long sessions, and have been giving grinds for two years with good results.
My grinds are aimed towards students in fifth and sixth year of secondary school.
