About Jessica
I have tutoring experience and enjoy working one-on-one with students. I have tutored math and also teach private music lessons, so I know how to adapt my approach to different learning styles to help students achieve their goals. I was hired as a peer tutor for math and computer science at Augustana College. I am currently President of the Epsilon Epsilon chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honors society, and have been recognized numerous times for my academic achievements. I graduated high school as valedictorian and have a GPA of 3.99 after 2 years of college. I am pursuing a triple major with a minor in my undergraduate studies and then plan to go on to graduate school to earn a PhD in mathematics/computer science. I am a hard worker, and I am professional and responsible. I will try my absolute best to help students in whatever ways I can!

I adapt my teaching methods to meet each students individual needs and learning style. I will approach each lesson with patience and a desire to assist in a student’s understanding of a topic. In each lesson, students can ask for help on a certain problem or concept that they do not understand and we will work through it together until we reach a point where I feel confident the student can perform well on their own. Students should feel free to ask as many questions as they’d like and are encouraged to ask for any clarification or repeats. Each lesson will move at a pace that the student is comfortable with.
