About Emma
I am a third year medical student with 44 points in the IB diploma (7,7,7 at Biology, Chemistry, Psychology at HL - an A level equivalent of A*A*A*) and have experience in private tutoring of GCSE level Maths, Chemistry, and Biology. I also have successful experience in UK medical school admissions - specifically the UKCAT entrance exam - and Oxbridge applications using the TSA exam.

I foremost want to provide a relaxed and open environment in which the student can learn. I believe that facilitating student-driven learning and encouraging lots of questions to be asked is key to engagement and success. An initial meeting where I work closely with the student will allow a personalized plan for the teaching lessons to be devised. Each session will then focus on particular learning points through the use of simple tasks, practice questions, and supplemental discussion to make the learning bite sized and manageable. Whilst remaining closely aligned to specific syllabus requirements, these techniques serve to create genuine understanding and embed learning for the long term.
