Hi there! My name is Ben and I am offering tutoring in A-level and GCSE Mathematics. I have a BSc in Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh. Currently situated in Wetherby, North Yorkshire.

About Benjamin
I have tutored a number of students in Mathematics at GCSE level for 3 years and have found the experience thoroughly enjoyable. It gives me great pleasure watching students I teach improve and get passionate about the subject I love. My past students have ranged in ability and my approach for each has reflected this. For example, my last student that I tutored was an incredibly gifted mathematician who found the GCSE curriculum unchallenging. Which is why instead of purely revising the content for his examinations, we often explored further, more complex areas of maths from the A-level syllabus and even some topics which I have studied while at university.

My teaching style with students is mostly based around working through a variety of different problems. I believe the most effective learning strategy is trial and improvement; the only way to get better at something is to practice! I give lessons to both A-level and GCSE students for maths. Modules I teach: - GCSE - C1 - C2 - C3 - C4 - FP1 - FP2 - S1 - S2 - M1 - M2 - M3

My son, James, was a student of Ben for 6 months in preparation for his GCSE exams in 2019. James really enjoyed the sessions and his school teacher also noted that there was a big improvement in his performance and participation in his classes. He managed to achieve a 9 in his exams which we were delighted with and has gone on to study A level mathematics which he is enjoying greatly.
