About Reece
i am Reece Batwood! i am an English major at Southern Connecticut State University. i was previously known under my deadname: Melissa Lynn Healey. my confessional poem "Life's Escalator of Forgiveness" is on SCSU's YouTube home-page.
as androgynous as one comes, i am a 21-year-old poet, fiction-writer, and illustrator of my own written works! my life depends on writing, and my writing depends on reading a legacy of writers-- from classic writers like Virginia Woolf and Oscar Wilde (with whom i share a birthday), to young adult novelists Cassandra Clare and Cornelia Funke.
