About Natalie
I am a TEFL qualified English tutor with a positive attitude for learning. I strive on a daily basis to try something new, even if it is just to read a new chapter in a thick book. Making learning fun is my main goal being a teacher and helping learners climb new heights to reach their full potential when it comes to trying a new way doing things. I have taught many learners (babies to primary school; I taught at a pre-school for one year and at a primary school for college teaching experience) and although they were young, they knew what bored them and what sparked them to learned. I learned a lot from just observing from afar or being the actual teacher in class, they have taught me the ways I want to teach in, the ways that are relevant and enjoyable to them. This has sent a foundation of future teaching ways for me.

As a student teacher, I live for the "ah ha!" moment when a student understands the content I teach. My goal is to refrain from traditional teaching methods and replacing them with new fun and learner centered approaches (making the student the focus of your class and not just the content to be taught).
I am proficient in teaching in both Afrikaans and English. A typical day-to-day lesson with me would include lots of laughter and a few games to make teaching the content more interesting and relevant to the student/s. I make use of lots of visuals and imagery as I am myself a visual learner.
My lessons would be aimed at learners who learn cognitively, building on prior knowledge with new knowledge everyday. By using comprehensible input I will be able to cognitively build knowledge within a day-to-day lesson.
