About Georgie
Hi, I'm Georgie and I have just finished my A levels and am currently taking a gap year so am widely available. I am extremely passionate about English and am planning on taking an English degree at Bristol University. I know how to help students build the skills needed to achieve a high grade and hopefully also build a love for English!

- I start with lesson objectives, move onto discussing part of the chosen text and covering important points as well as more obscure points which will catch examiners' attention, then move onto essay writing practice under timed conditions so that strong exam technique is built (this will typically only be a paragraph instead of a whole essay due to lesson time restrictions), and then finish off by discussing targets for improvement
- Students should be prepared to be writing under timed conditions during lessons as I believe this is crucial for exam preparation and is great for embedding knowledge, I know this can seem a drag but it is so important!
- I will mark essay paragraphs that the students produce in lessons and give feedback in the following lesson
- I am more than happy to help with coursework, for example; sourcing critical and contextual sources to enrich essays, going through paragraph structure as well as whole essay structure, helping to phrase certain parts of the coursework, marking coursework
