About Spencer
I am from New York, and currently study at Northwestern University. I transferred from Emory University after Freshman year. I excelled at many of the classes I took in high school and got a 35 ACT (I can tutor that as well haha). While excelling academically, I started playing piano at 6. I was invited to play at Carnegie Hall in 2020 and performed at Steinway Hall, The Cutting Room, West End Lounge, and more. I want to teach the skills I learned along the way to other students. I take teaching seriously as I valued it myself when I studied with one. The approach in which I teach is the same approach I take in my studies...which has worked so far :).

Lessons taught on a case by case basis. Everyone is at different levels in playing and I can adjust to all levels. I teach using a broad number of activities including building on listening skills, memorization skills, playing technique, and style. Lessons are for all pre-university students.

Spencer is a trustworthy teacher because he is always available for help and is truly dedicated to helping every single student that needs help. Spencer will 100% devote his time and effort into making sure the student understands the work they are provided and is confident in his abilities.
Spencer is someone that is very easy going. He is kind and always know what to do whatever I have planned for that day. When we are doing a topic he always has extra work to help me on if I don’t have any for him. I try to have a list of all the things on my test before I take it, so with Spencer I can go over each topic with him and create practice problems with him for each topic. He doesn’t make me rush my work and he goes over each question very clearly so I know how to do it. For the questions that I don’t know he creates extra practice problems for those questions. When I say he is easy going I mean it he is very smart and knows so much.
