About Amy
I graduated from Missouri Baptist University in 2009 with a B.A. in Religious Education and an emphasis in Counseling. In 2011, I returned to earn my Masters of Arts in Teaching, but was stopped right before a semester of student teaching due to a deployment to England. Since then, I have homeschooled my four children and taken on a teaching position at an unusually large homeschool co-op. With 110 students per semester, I stay busy! However, I always make sure to take time to get to know each one on an individual basis. I take my work seriously as I consistently work on new methods to reach my students both academically and by relating with them on a personal level.

I use a teaching method that focuses on improvement versus perfection. I put more emphasis on "why" something is happening or is important instead of memorizing facts and basic information. I have taught for four years both independently and in a high school classroom setting. My students will tell you that "boring" is not in my vocabulary.
