About Kate
I have been teaching for 28 years. I have taught a variety of subjects: Introduction to Spanish. Language Arts in grades 7-12, and life skills to adults with intellectual disabilities. My passion lies in middle school math. I enjoy helping students learn and discover those A-HA moments in their learning. I enjoy creating graphic organizers or math helper for students to access while learning or reinforcing a new skill.

I am a teacher that enjoys assisting diverse students feel successful in their learning. I use graphic organizers/helpers in math and access a hands-on approach with manipulatives whenever possible. I have clear and concise expectations for my students. I have taught grades 5-8 math to all levels of learning. For science, I have taught grade 5 only, however, many of the topics are broadened into grades 6 - 8 and I am able to help students feel successful.
