About Yiwen
I am a current Bachelor of Teacher Education student at the University of Ottawa. I have experience working with kids in group and individual settings. I enjoy math and always find it fun, especially when I can do it through games and integrate it with other subjects. I am also a firm believer in using hands-on activities to help students get more engaged in Math and other subjects they might have trouble engaging in.

As a teacher, I believe in interest- and inquiry-based learning. I believe that the best learning happens when students are interested in the subject matter. I offer 1-hour math tutoring sessions for students in Grades 4 to 10. Within the hour, students can ask me for homework help, exam prep or anything they might need. While I value textbook-based learning, I do encourage game-based learning for those who need it. Therefore, within the hour, we could be playing educational games that would help you understand the concept better.
