About Abbigail
The ability to learn is a true gift! This is something I realized during my time studying Philosophy and Sociology at Trent University. When I opened myself up to learning about all subjects, even about things I considered myself to be uninterested in or not good at, I excelled and was able to make cross-curricular connections, giving me a brighter, bigger picture of what I was learning. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, but rediscovering my love of learning helped me to realize that this is what I wish to share with my students. I am currently enrolled in teacher education, and am excited to finally embark on this journey!

Teaching children has always been a passion of mine! I have always believed that learning is one of the greatest gifts in life, and I intend to share this love of knowledge with all my students! Learning something new or challenging doesn't need to be scary! With my student-first approach, I seek to understand your child and how their brain really works in order to provide tutoring that suits not only their needs, but their strengths!
I provide English, math, and social studies tutoring to children from Kindergarten to Grade 6. I am more than happy to consider a child beyond this age range, especially in English or writing, as I have exceptional experience in journalism, creative writing, essay writing, and so forth.
