About David
I am a passionate teacher and conservationist. I have worked in the Amazon rainforest and Vietnam studying the effects of mass development on local communities. Stemming from this, I have a passion for critical literacy, which is the ability to learn and know that the student is a part of this world, not apart from it.
I am an avid traveller and photographer, which helps in my storytelling of the way the world works, it’s natural beauty, and it’s cultures.

I teach through socrastic based methods. This is questioning and discussion led learning designed to grow confidence in the learner, by developing their critical literacy skills. Once the understanding is reached, the exam specific content is then tackled, but is made easier due to the opening of the mind in understanding the core information. I use metaphors, storytelling, visuals, humour, photographs, videos and PowerPoints to aid in understanding.
I teach in a holistic manner, which is not solely academic and results driven, but the overall development of the student.
